The FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017 was hosted by India. This was the first time India hosted to the football fraternity at such a global scale.
 
The All India Football Federation had made concrete efforts to augment the growth of Indian football in the field of sports. This accomplishment was majorly due to the development of youth on the grassroot level. The bid to host the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 by AIFF was successful due to its fine focus on the youth, thus garnering to become the first FIFA event to be held in the subcontinent.
 
India houses a tremendous potential and as the Blue Colts had undergone rigorous training and selection process to compete with the world’s best football players.
